Remanufacturing the Samsung ML-1910 / 1915 / 2525 / 2580, SCX-4600 / 4623 cartridge MLT-D105(2)S/L/ELS, How to refill toner cartridge 1. The 1052 cartridge is spot
welded on both sides of the cartridge. We will need to drill out the
weld points in order to remove the cartridge end plates
Contact point side of the cartridge
2. Using a small flat –blade screwdriver at two points of the end plate gently push in the clips – this removes the end plate
3. Remove the laser guide cover
4. Turning our attention to the other side of the cartridge drill out the three spot welds
5. Using the flat-blade screwdriver at two points, gently push in the clips to remove the end plate
6. Lay the cartridge on it’s back (chip side down) and unclip the hopper section from the opc unit
The Waste/OPC Unit
7. Remove the drum unit leaving the contact bar inside the opc drum – unless you intend to replace the opc drum
8. The PCR has a companion foam
roller – both items need to be removed and cleaned. Use damp with water
cotton cloth for the PCR, and gently clean the foam roller with
compressed air, or vacuum
9. Remove the wiperblade
10. Vacuum clean the waste
section, wipe clean the wiper-blade or replace. Lightly coat the
wiper-blade with a padding powder and replace
11. Replace the cleaned PCR and Foam rollers. Using electrical grease cover the contact point of the PCR
12. Clean or replace the OPC
drum – AQC UK offer replacement OPC’s specifically designed to work in
combination with AQC UK compatible Samsung type toner
The Toner Hopper Unit
13. Remove the toner cartridge plug using a wide flat-blade screwdriver
14. Remove the DVR
15. Vacuum or Compressed air clean the hopper
16. Gently with a small flat-blade screwdriver ‘ruffle’ the end felt
17. Clean the DVR – we used Isopropanol Alcohol and then washed with water. Add a padding powder to the DVR surface and replace
18. Placing the two sections of the cartridge again on its back (chip side down) clip the cartridge back together
19. We must now replace the
gear side end plate. Caution is required as we must align the opc drum
contact bar into the end plate. First fit the end plate into position
and then push through the bar, making sure the flat end of the bar
aligns into place on the end plate
20. Refill with AQC UK compatible replacement Samsung type toner
21. Replace the plastic laser guide cover
The Chip
22. Taking to our drill – again make a small hole into the spot weld and remove the chip cover
23. Replace with a AQC UK approved compatible replacement chip
24. We have used a liquid
plastic to refill the spot welds on the cartridge, this secures the chip
cover and end plates into position
