Remanufacturing the Samsung ML-1910 / 1915 / 2525 / 2580, SCX-4600 / 4623  cartridge MLT-D105(2)S/L/ELS, How to refill toner cartridge

1. The 1052 cartridge is spot welded on both sides of the cartridge. We will need to drill out the weld points in order to remove the cartridge end plates

Contact point side of the cartridge

2. Using a small flat –blade screwdriver at two points of the end plate gently push in the clips – this removes the end plate

3. Remove the laser guide cover

4. Turning our attention to the other side of the cartridge drill out the three spot welds

5. Using the flat-blade screwdriver at two points, gently push in the clips to remove the end plate

6. Lay the cartridge on it’s back (chip side down) and unclip the hopper section from the opc unit

The Waste/OPC Unit

7. Remove the drum unit leaving the contact bar inside the opc drum – unless you intend to replace the opc drum

8. The PCR has a companion foam roller – both items need to be removed and cleaned. Use damp with water cotton cloth for the PCR, and gently clean the foam roller with compressed air, or vacuum

9. Remove the wiperblade

10. Vacuum clean the waste section, wipe clean the wiper-blade or replace. Lightly coat the wiper-blade with a padding powder and replace

11. Replace the cleaned PCR and Foam rollers. Using electrical grease cover the contact point of the PCR

12. Clean or replace the OPC drum – AQC UK offer replacement OPC’s specifically designed to work in combination with AQC UK compatible Samsung type toner

The Toner Hopper Unit

13. Remove the toner cartridge plug using a wide flat-blade screwdriver

14. Remove the DVR

15. Vacuum or Compressed air clean the hopper

16. Gently with a small flat-blade screwdriver ‘ruffle’ the end felt

17. Clean the DVR – we used Isopropanol Alcohol and then washed with water. Add a padding powder to the DVR surface and replace

18. Placing the two sections of the cartridge again on its back (chip side down) clip the cartridge back together

19. We must now replace the gear side end plate. Caution is required as we must align the opc drum contact bar into the end plate. First fit the end plate into position and then push through the bar, making sure the flat end of the bar aligns into place on the end plate

20. Refill with AQC UK compatible replacement Samsung type toner

21. Replace the plastic laser guide cover

The Chip

22. Taking to our drill – again make a small hole into the spot weld and remove the chip cover

23. Replace with a AQC UK approved compatible replacement chip

24. We have used a liquid plastic to refill the spot welds on the cartridge, this secures the chip cover and end plates into position
